In
mid-November, Joe made a long-anticipated photo trip to the Eastern
Sierra region and Death Valley to experience the place that has
inspired so many great landscape photographers from Ansel Adams to
Galen Rowell. He and photo friend, Barry Coburn spent a week
touring through Death Valley and the Highway 395 corridor from Lone
Pine to Mono Lake. From start to finish, they were astounded.
It was a life-changing experience. The following images were
made during this week, some within minutes at the same location.
Hopefully, they convey something of what it was like to
be there witnessing the changing light, and the inspiration it gave. |
